Taylor Tickets and Why People are Upset

As you may or may not know, Taylor Swift just announced her tour dates for her tour “The Eras Tour.” As expected, many fans wanted to get tickets and the number one place to get tickets is TicketMaster.
Millions of fans went on TicketMaster, and there was a glitch, causing only 2 percent of the fans to get concert tickets. Most of the tickets were from people who bought them and then sold them to another person for more money, which Taylor Swift is not okay with.
Many opinions on this are the same. Nobody is happy with the way TicketMaster has been dealing with things. Basically, TicketMaster had a presale going on. There was a one-hour wait until you could get tickets, and when there was 30 minutes left you would be invited to the waiting room.
What is the waiting room? An issue people were experiencing was when it hit 30 minutes, it took another 5-10 minutes to actually get into the waiting room. This lag was probably caused by too many people joining the room at once.
Once the hour countdown was finished, the screen went to a bar. Those buying tickets had to wait for the bar to finally complete, and then you could buy tickets. The bars took hours to load and once it finally did, buyers started getting seats.
Unfortunately, most people got a message saying: “Sorry, someone beat you to this seat!” And once again, this was because so many people were allowed in so quickly.
Many people feel like this was a scam and even though TicketMaster returned all the money, fans wanted to go to the concert very badly and this was absolutely the worst thing that could’ve happened. Many people are conflicted whether this is TicketMaster or Taylor’s fault and yes, Taylor shouldn’t have trusted TicketMaster to handle this but it really is TicketMasters fault. Taylor Swift trusted TicketMaster to handle this, and the fact they messed up so badly is unacceptable. There are rumors that TicketMaster will let everyone that was supposed to go to the concert their tickets so hopefully everything will go as planned. TicketMaster definitely messed up but if everything goes well, all will be good.
