Maya Faber has liked writing for a long time. She has wanted to join “Ursus” since 6th grade. She also sings, plays the violin, swims, and skis. Reading fiction is a hobby she has. She also likes writing realistic fiction which can explain why she’s on “Ursus.”  In 5th grade, one of her assignments was to write the three most fun things her class had done that year, so, after she wrote her essay, she was picked along with three other students to read her essay aloud to the entire fifth grade. “The DARE essay was unforgettable, and I’ll never forget reading it out loud,” said Maya. Maya lives with her mom, dad, and 10- year-old brother.
