What is BMS Thankful for?

Alex Gaines, Writer

This year, we asked BMS students and staff what they are thankful for. The responses ranged from happy Zoom moments to hopes of being with family this Thanksgiving. Here are some of our favorite responses.

“I’m thankful for my student’s creativity and zoom smiles.” – Mrs. Anderson

“This Thanksgiving I am thankful for all that are staff that are working in this hard time. They are keeping us and themselves safe and that is all I can ask for. I am also thankful for all the support and love that my family has given me. ” – Addison Dennett, 6th Grade

“I’m thankful for us being able to have a resemblance of a normal school day, even if we can’t actually be at school. Having a schedule and being taught live is much better than the situation last year, and I’m thankful that we’re able to do that.” – Mack Haymond, 8th Grade

“I am thankful for my health and my families health during COVID-19. I am also thankful for the home I live in. The home that gives me shelter, a place of my own and food that I love. I am also beyond grateful for all of the people in my life that make it so special.” – Elena Nasar, 6th Grade

“I am thankful that all the teachers understand what this is like for the students. It is nice to have teachers who know what it’s like to go through this.” – Teddy Brooks, 6th Grade

“I am thankful for my family and teachers for guiding me through this tough year” –  Akil Arvind, 6th Grade

‘I’m thankful for music. No matter who you are, music is something that anyone can enjoy.” – Francine Alvero, 6th Grade

“I am thankful for the food I have access to.” – Cole Siegner, 8th Grade
