Yo estoy escribiendo esto para mandar un mensaje de igualdad de todas las personas. Mi vida de una latina en esta escuela es realmente bien pero hay cosas en esta comunidad que necesita ayuda. No hay mucha diversidad en esta escuela y creo que es por eso que algunas personas tienen problemas para aceptar a personas de otras razas, religión, género e incluso diferentes orientaciones sexuales. Con mi vida me han dicho que no puedo hablar español porque estoy en los Estados Unidos y no hay lugar para ese idioma aquí.

El razon para porque yo hablo en español es para hablar en muchas ciudades y con muchas personas como mi familia porque ellos no pueden hablar en inglés. Yo vivo con muchas culturas en mi vida y yo hablo mucho con otras personas sobre las cosas de mi cultura. Yo ayudo muchas personas en la clase de espanol y enseñó a alguien que español tiene una historia muy rica y interesante. Pero hay una costa para hablar esta idioma aquí en el Estados Unidos, tu necesitas prepararte de los comentarios de ignorancia y incluyendo odio.

No puedo escapar estas personas porque ellos no quieren darse cuenta que no todas las personas que hablan español son Mexicanos, en algunos casos esto es cierto, pero no para mí y para otros. Ahora con estas personas en la escuela, yo tengo miedo de mi idioma y cultura. No quiero hablar sobre mi cultura de una Venezolana porque gente de mente cerrada solamente pueden imaginar tacos, quinceañeras y burritos. Pero esto no es la realidad, yo tengo una cultura diferente de esto. Personas que piensan esto, no pueden dar el respecto a mí y otras idiomas y culturas. No pueden ver que muchísimas personas tienen sus propia culturas.

En esta escuela estudiantes no saben hablar a personas que son diferente de ellos, además las personas que son diferente tiene miedo a actuar como ellos mismos. No quieren expresar sus personalidades y cultura. Todos nosotros necesitamos eliminar los odios. Nosotros necesitamos ayudar al uno al otro porque no podemos estar feliz cuando no hay respecta e igualdad. Todos nosotros saben que en esta escuela la mayoría es la el gente blanca, no hay muchas hispanas, negras, indios o chinos solamente hay un poquito. Esta no es la problema, la problema es cómo nosotros tratamos a los demás. Necesitamos ayudar a nosotros y no pelear. En este pueblo de Westport personas crean una espacio desagradable y este molesta a muchas. Necesitamos librarnos del juicio cuando la gente viene a esta hermosa ciudad para una nueva vida.

Yo tengo un historia de mi experiencia con esta problema. Muchos días en la clase de español la primera pregunta de los estudiantes a mi es “¿Por qué estás en la clase de espanol si tu ya estas fluente en español?” y la respuesta es que yo noy soy fluente en español, yo tengo dificultad con la gramática. Yo tambien estoy en la clase de español porque YO PUEDO Y NO ES TU PROBLEMA. Déjame vivir porque no tengo que estar a la altura de tus ideales de lo que se supone que hace una latina.

I am writing this to send a message of equality of all people. My life as a Latina in this school is really good but there are things in this community that need help. There is not much diversity in this school and I think that’s why some people have trouble accepting people of other races, religion, gender and even different sexual orientations. With my life I have been told that I can not speak Spanish because I am in the United States and there is no place for that language here.

The reason why I speak Spanish is to speak in many cities and with many people like my family because they can not speak English. I live with many cultures in my life and I talk a lot with other people about the things of my culture. I helped many people in the Spanish class and taught someone that Spanish has a very rich and interesting history. But there is a shortage to speak this language here in the United States, you need to prepare yourself for the comments of ignorance and including hate.

I can not escape these people because they do not want to realize that not all people who speak Spanish are Mexican, in some cases this is true, but not for me and for others. Now with these people at school, I am afraid of my language and culture. I do not want to talk about my Venezuelan culture because people with a closed mind can only imagine tacos, quinceañeras and burritos. But this is not reality, I have a different culture of this. People who think this, can not give respect to me and other languages ​​and cultures. They can not see that many people have their own cultures.
