The Eighth-grade Mixer is a dance that lets eighth graders from Coleytown Middle School and Bedford Middle School get together and meet each other before they go off into the unfamiliar world of Staples High School.

The Mixer is directed by Mrs. Connors. She said that they brought in Pop-a-Shots, pizza and snacks, lighted courtyard, timed gift basket giveaways, and a DJ.

Mrs. Dransfield, a parent volunteer decorator, said, “We wanted to do blue and white for Staples colors. We’ve got logowear.”

As of hours before the event, the Mixer had sold 300 tickets and was  still going to sell tickets at the door.
