Running Laps for Kids in Need

On Wednesday Oct. 25, 20 students participated in the 2017 Fun Run for Save the Children.

The weather was overcast but the spirits were sunny.

Students ran laps around the BMS track while teachers monitored their progress.  At the end of each lap, runners received words of encouragement and prizes and water.

“I did the Fun Run because it is a simple way to support children without resources,” said Max Kirkorsky, a BMS eighth grader.

Mr. Dan Barbiero, a physical education teacher, helped organize the event.  “It was nice to see a balanced representation of boys and girls from all grades,” said Mr. Barbiero.

Students together logged 83 laps and 41.5 miles. The total amount raised will be determined at the end of the week.
