Extremely rare space phenomenon happening this holiday season.

This year has been crazy. We have had everything from a pandemic to an owl in the Rockefeller Christmas tree.

But don’t think that is it, there is more! This year, on Dec. 21 (the winter solstice), Saturn and Jupiter will be visible in the night sky, but not in the way you think.

From our view, they will be 1/5 of the diameter of the moon away from each other. This means that from our view, they will look like an extremely bright star. Now, in reality, they will be millions of miles away, but not from our view.

Now you may be thinking of how often this happens, this event hasn’t happened since the year 1226. This was almost 800 years ago! We are all definitely going to be receiving a holiday treat this year! Now, we must all hope for good weather and a clear sky!
