Those who are in two or three of the events argue that they are doing what they love, and they don’t want to have to restrict their passions. When 8th grader Lucas Lieberman was asked why he does all of these events, he replied “Music has always been a part of my life. I love science and even though I can’t make it to states, I could potentially still go to other event dates and I can still be a part of the process and help my peers. I enjoy and love so many different things, so I want to be involved in all of them.”
As one student said, “Students want to try new things because I enjoy and love so many different areas of stuff.” In the end, these students will have to make some tough decisions about their plans for March 18th.
