Bedford’s Science Olympiad team celebrates a win after many hours of hard work since the school year began.

After hours of daily after school work researching, studying, designing and building towers and rolllercoasters throughout the school year, Bedford’s Science Olympiad teams competed in the State competition in Farmington, Connecticut on April 21.

It turns out that all of this hard work paid off. They came in first place out of the 17 teams in Connecticut participating in the competition. This win will propel Bedford into the National competition, which includes all of the other state winners.

Nationals will take place in Fort Collins, Colorado in May. Mr. Art Ellis, Mrs. Kathryn Nicholas and Dr. Dan Cortright are the dedicated advisers of the club.
